Prior to joining chambers, Nahid worked as an in-house advocate at TV Edwards Solicitors and at UK Law Solicitors.
Nahid donated her time by being a committee member of the Newham Asian Women’s Project, a large DV charity based in East London and she also ran their legal department for two years on a pro-bono basis. Nahid accepts instructions in both immigration and family law, with her speciality in immigration.
With a strong emphasis on asylum appeal hearings, Nahid does also accept instructions also in human rights (particularly involving articles 3 and 8), judicial review and European appeals. Nahid also accepts work from the local authority.
Nahid is an experienced advocate in family law, particularly in ancillary relief cases, final hearing and contact issues involving children. Nahid’s knowledge and expertise within this field is valued in her advocacy when in court and her client care outside of court.
