James Bogle, senior civil practitioner at 10 King’s Bench Walk, succeeded in contempt proceedings in a commercial case in the High Court acting for the Claimants, led by Mark Heywood QC of 5 King’s Bench Walk. The Respondent was found in breach of five court orders restraining, among other things, disparagement of the Claimants and their world-wide financial services business and intermeddling with the same. The Respondent, who was eventually forced to admit many of the grounds under cross-examination by James Bogle, received an immediate 22-month custodial sentence. Injunction orders were made permanent and a substantial indemnity costs order made.
