With over 35 years in the Temple, Bill has an unrivalled knowledge of all clerking matters pertaining to civil cases. He is responsible for managing the diaries for our barristers within these fields and agreeing fees on either an hourly rate or a fixed fee basis.

Chloe Amson joined the clerking team at 10 Kings Bench Walk in May 2018 and in that short time has proven herself vital for the development of chambers growth. Not only does Chloe deal with all Immigration bookings and billing, she also monitors the clerk’s emails as well as all the usual clerking duties.
Chloe is admired for her quick-thinking and unflappable mentality and even during the busiest times in chambers never seems to be under pressure. She also has a great ability to manage time efficiently which helps in her day-to-day duties.
Chloe has applied to join the Institute of Barristers Clerks (IBC). She regularly attends IBC workshops and courses to further her knowledge of clerking.

John re-joined 10 Kings Bench Walk in July 2019 and has been a Bar Clerk for over 40 years. With 25 of those years as Senior Clerk to leading London sets of chambers. He has a wealth of experience and has detailed knowledge and understanding of the civil practice areas in which the members of Chambers work and an excellent understanding of their clients’ expectations and needs. John takes a commercial, flexible and competitive approach to fee negotiation and is always willing to discuss fees to suit the client and case requirement.John prides himself on he’s open and friendly approach and his dedication to providing a professional and personal service as well as building and maintaining relationships with chambers clients.John is direct access trained. He appreciates that it can be a stressful experience for the client, and he is always happy to manage cases closely in order to put their needs at ease.
